Mellow Colour Ltd was founded in 2003 by Alan Dresch, a specialist in colour reproduction. Mellow Colour calls on the expertise of a seasoned group of colour software specialists and the respected colour scientist Peter Neilson. Mellow Colour is committed to the delivery of top quality pre-press and printing colour management. Key strengths are implementation of printing standards, technical troubleshooting and fine tuning of colour systems. The longer term aim of Mellow Colour is to provide tools to help the printing industry get in-line with other industries where lean manufacturing and critical process control are the differentiators that separate the best from the rest.

Alan Dresch, who has been involved in colour management since the age of fifteen when he served a six year apprenticeship with a leading London repro house as one of the very first Hell scanner operators. His father and grandfather were also ‘in the print’. He worked for various Repro shops and printing companies for many years, before taking a position as worldwide technical trouble-shooter for the Linotype-Paul scanner division - later to become ICG Ltd. In the Eighties he lived and worked in the USA for the ICG scanner distributor Royal Zenith as technical support manager. During this time |
Alan continued to pursue a hands-on training and trouble-shooting role in the field.
He returned to the UK in the late eighties and was made responsible for the development of new product opportunities at ICG, including development of the first drum scanner to desk-top link, and the award winning ICG vertical drum scanner. During this period ICG Ltd twice won the Queens Award for Technological Achievement. Alan's name appears on a variety of innovative pre-press patents filed by ICG. |

| Global Business Manager - Bob Alder |

Bob has been employed in the pre-press and printing industry for 40 years, initially serving an apprenticeship within one of the largest commercial and packaging printers in the UK. He then worked in a number of pre-press/repro trade shops as a Retoucher/Planner and Scanner operator, before moving into management and starting his own Repro business.
Since the 90's Bob has worked for a number of major pre-press organisations within a senior management capacity across a range of disciplines, including Site, Operations management and technical sales.

More latterly this has included international brand management in the Packaging sector. Bob has recently joined Mellow Colour to support their growing UK and International customer base including new sales and developing International supply partnerships.

| Marketing - Sarah Weightman |

Sarah is responsible for marketing and publicity at Mellow Colour. Her responsibilities include organizing tradeshows, designing promotional literature and coordinating PR and advertising campaigns to raise the awareness of Mellow Colour and their activities.
Previously, Sarah spent three years in Australia where she was Marketing Manager for a colour management and print supplier. Her background includes a Masters in Lifestyle Promotion and she also runs her own Creative Marketing, Design & PR Consultancy. |

Peter Wharmby is responsible for software design, development and testing at Mellow Colour.
Peter has over 20 years experience including a long spell as a Senior Scientific Officer at the Government Communications Headquarters, Cheltenham, working with some of the world's largest super-computers on a variety of technical problems in cryptography and data management and also gaining managerial experience at the head of a small team of programmers.
A later career change saw him working in the field of |
e-commerce and Java database programming, developing a successful Amazon/eBay seller engine for the commercial sector before joining Mellow Colour in 2007.
His academic qualifications include a BA in Mathematics with specialist topics including Communication Theory, Approximation Theory, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics. |
